Alan

Alan P. Stokes, CPA, RFC, President

Alan Stokes, owner of Century Accounting & Financial Services, has been a small business owner himself for over 32 years. He appreciates the stress and hardwork it takes to grow a successful small business. Alan’s passion and expertise (along with his team) is helping his clients make the everyday decisions that affect the success of their business. His CPA designation requires him to stay up to date on the ever-changing tax and accounting regulations by taking the mandated Continuing Education courses, in addition to keeping his financial services and insurance licenses up to date.

When asked “What do you enjoy most about working with small business clients?”, his answer is, “It's very satisfying to not just look at a page with numbers on it, but truly interact with the clients in helping them make sense of how it all affects their business, good and bad.”  Since starting the firm, his expertise has grown over the years, working with hundreds of small business clients, non-profit organizations and individuals in both an advisory capacity and hands on, helping new businesses get up and running properly, and getting clients’ records current. A key part of his practice is also tax planning and tax preparation.

Abigail Thompson - Receptionist

Abigail is the newest addition to our team at Century Accounting & Financial Services.  Most often, she will be the first voice you hear when you call our office and the friendly smile that greets you when you visit us.  Her most recent experience was caring for her aging grandmother after hip surgery the past couple of years.  Although that was time she wouldn't trade, she is very excited (you'll be able to tell) to be working in an office environment and is already committed to learning everything about Century Accounting and our awesome clients.

Some very interesting facts about Abigail - She plays the trombone and plays in an all-volunteer community band, called Middle River Concert Bank.  The group plays for people that can't get out to hear live music.  Abigail also does hoola-hooping, loves to swim and read in her spare time.  She can't wait to meet you!
